What is the process or approach that you use?

In working with my clients and patients, I take a very pro-active approach. I want each person to develop a better self understanding, work towards solving problems which may have interfered with attaining goals, and look at ways to increase enjoyment of life in general.

My approach is integrative. Once I informally assess, and discuss with the client, I utilize the methods which I believe will help resolve the issues in the most reasonable time possible. At times, I will utilize some cognitive behavioral strategies while always being supportive and empowering.

I respect that today most people are quite busy and do not have unlimited time or financial resources for extended psychotherapy so I strive, in collaboration with the client, so that each session counts. The hope is that the client will develop skills and strategies which can be used long after the sessions are completed.

What type of corporate consulting do you do?

Over the last several years, in addition to my office clinical work, I have consulted with a number of corporations and their staff (from most senior executives to hourly employees). These have included such organizations as Symantec, Boeing/Rocketdyne, and Maritz.

The focus has included the following:
• Professional advancement
• Helping the individual employee become more efficient and productive
• Improving working relationships
• Managing the difficult employee
• Unique issues related to family and small businesses
• Impact of "downsizing"
• Work life balance

My office practice is fully "fee for service". Upon request, I will provide a statement that you may submit to your insurance carrier for "out of network" reimbursement when your insurance provides for such. Payment is due in full at the time of service.
